The Albany Historical Society general meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the Historical Museum, 119 N. Water Street, Albany. The program will be presented by Albany resident Richard Horn, speaking of his experience serving in the U.S. Coast Guard on the Great Lakes, breaking the ice, especially on Lake Erie. Horn was born in Milwaukee County, and attended UW-Madison. Horn worked on two ships, a tug and a buoy-tender. His family has a history of involvement in ships.
