First United Church of Christ Annual Dinner

The Annual Church Dinner at First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, will take place on Saturday, November 14th.  Serving Family Style from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., the menu includes: Turkey, Ham, Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans, Coleslaw, Buns, Cheese and Homemade Pies. 
Adults, $11.00; Children 6-12 years, $5.00; and Children 5 years and under, free.  Carry outs $11.00 and deliveries available within a five mile radius.

An Evening with Jerry Apps

Jerry Apps is well known for his many books on rural history and country life. Jerry will be sharing from his most recent book, <i>Wisconsin Agriculture: A History</i>, on Thursday, November 12th, at 7:00 p.m., at the Belleville High School Auditorium. This program is free and open to the public, thanks to a Beyond the Page grant and the Belleville Public Library.

Trivia Night on November 7

Looking for a fun night out? Get some friends and coworkers together for Belleville Public Library’s Trivia Night on Saturday, November 7th, at 7:00 p.m. We will play at Schwoegler’s Sugar River Lanes.
Don’t worry that you don’t know enough to participate. We play on teams of 6-10 adults and high schoolers. It is amazing how many answers pooling your knowledge can produce. There’s also a lot of laughter involved.

Road Rally Takes Place this Saturday

I so wished I had written this article earlier in the week! I am so tired, and I am forcing myself to do this as it is the last article prior to the event! Exhaustion has set in. I was under the impression that the daylight savings time was supposed to start next weekend. You will need the light to do this. Be there and get in line when you can as it is very important! Barb and I were talking about how we need to do this at a different time. The problem is when? I’m not sure when is a better time!

The Fourth Annual Turkey Drop is Here!

Please join the high school and middle school students in helping provide turkeys to those in need so that they too can have a ‘Happy Turkey Day’! Please help us reach our goal of 50 birds!! You can donate turkeys to Burreson’s or come to the Belleville Middle School parking lot to drop off your turkey on Friday, November 13, 2015, from 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Look for the turkey and Wildcat mascot. Students will be there to greet you and you can “drop” your bird right out the car window and into their hands!!

Town of Montrose Crash

A Verona woman and her 1-year-old daughter were taken to UW Hospital after being rear-ended Tuesday, October 27, on State Highway 69, in the Town of Montrose.
Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Verona Police and Belleville Fire and EMS, responded to State Highway 69 and CTH A at 11:36 a.m. Janelle Derose, age 30, was traveling south on STH 69 and stopped for oncoming traffic to make a left turn onto CTH A. While stopped in the southbound lane, her 2006 Ford Escape was rear-ended by a 2015 Jeep SUV, operated by Lyle Padratt, age 86 of Belleville.

Lions Clubs Fundraiser at Culver's for Green Cares

The Lions Clubs of Albany, Monticello and New Glarus will be teaming up with Culver’s of New Glarus in support of Green Cares Food Pantry. On November 9th, Culver’s will donate 10 percent of all sales made between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to Green Cares Food Pantry.
