The New Glarus Police Department and New Glarus Chamber of Commerce are partnering to bring you the 2015 Bike Rodeo. It will take place from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 16, at the Depot, 418 Railroad Street.
Come and learn from the Police Department and New Glarus Area EMS as they teach participants about bike safety, first aid and the health benefits of biking.
Free safety inspections will be performed, including bikes, helmets and riding gear.

There will be a New Glarus Youth Baseball Association Fundraising Night at the Duck Pond in Madison on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 6:05 p.m. This is a great opportunity to watch baseball and help out the NGYBA. The cost is $13.00, and you get a reserved field box seat, and an Official Madison Mallards Hat. In order to support the NGYB, tickets must be purchased through the online portal.

The Heidi Folk Festival is a New Glarus tradition that has continued for over 50 years, due to the hard work and volunteer spirit of many people over the years. This effort continues, but with less people involved in the recent years of the festival.  It has been a year of transition for the Heidi play and a decision was made to put the major focus on the craft fair this year and hold off on efforts to put the Heidi play production together this year. Plans are to bring the Heidi play back in 2016, with several new cast members in place at that time.

In 1919, after WWI, Congress allowed the Legion to organize for Vets that served in war time, then in 1920 Monticello Post #256 Amstutz-Marty was chartered; so now we are 95 years old.
