To the Editor,
The week of May 17-23 marked the annual celebration of EMS Week, a week designated to recognizing the vital role EMS holds in communities across our nation.
EMS is on the front line, treating patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They care for patients of all ages, in their home, at work or on the road. They provide expert care in all weather conditions and any time of day or night.

Fredrickson Receives IMT Diamond Scholarship

The IMT Group, a leading provider of personal and commercial insurance products, is pleased to announce that Caleb Fredrickson has been selected to receive a $500 IMT Diamond Scholarship.
Caleb Fredrickson currently attends the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is the son of Paul Fredrickson, an IMT Group agent with Dave Mosher & Associates Insurance Services in New Glarus, Wisconsin.

Medication Roundup Results

Results from the from the Spring 2015 Medication roundup and drop boxes were recently released.
The Saturday event collected 527.2 pounds from Monroe, Albany, Monticello, Brodhead and New Glarus sites that include the drop boxes as well.
A reminder that there are drop boxes in the Sheriff’s Office Lobby, Monroe, Albany, Brodhead, Monticello and New Glarus Police Departments. Belleville Police Department also has a drop box that goes to Dane County.

Green County Breakfast on the Farm - May 30th

The 2015 Green County Breakfast on the Farm will be hosted Saturday, May 30th, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Wegmueller Family Farm, located at W4358 Montgomery Road, east of Monroe, off Highway 11/81. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children 6 – 10 years of age. Children 5 years and under are free.

Hosting the North American Swiss Singers Alliance Triennial Saengerfest

When June 18th arrives this year, it will be the start of a four-day festival that will bring hundreds of people together from the United States, Canada and Switzerland for Saengerfest 2015. While it is true that the event begins on that day, this upcoming event is really the culmination of years of planning and preparation by the Saengerfest Organizing Committee and many others in New Glarus and Green County.

New Glarus Fire Department 3rd Annual Golf Outing

The New Glarus Fire Department will be holding their 3rd Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Edelweiss Chalet Country Club.
The Golf Outing will begin with a 1:00 p.m. Tee Time. There will also be a 6:00 p.m. Auction and Dinner, featuring Mike’s Smoked Brisket. The price for the outing is $75.00 per person for non-members; $30.00 for members and $45.00 for members needing a cart.
