An Evening with Jerry Apps

Jerry Apps is well known for his many books on rural history and country life. Jerry will be sharing from his most recent book, <i>Wisconsin Agriculture: A History</i>, on Thursday, November 12th, at 7:00 p.m., at the Belleville High School Auditorium. This program is free and open to the public, thanks to a Beyond the Page grant and the Belleville Public Library.
Besides over 35 books, Apps has written more than 800 articles and columns that have appeared in Wisconsin newspapers and magazines, and in national magazines. Much of his material has been featured in guest appearances on Wisconsin Public Radio and on Wisconsin Public Television shows such as <i>A Farm Winter with Jerry Apps</i> and <i>For the Love of a Farm</i>.
Many of Apps’ books are available at the Belleville Public Library for checkout.
Beyond the Page is an endowment created by the Dane County libraries in partnership with the Madison Community Foundation, which has provided Belleville Public Library with annual funding for a variety of humanities programs such as speakers, musical performances, and theatrical events.
Beyond the Page is also funding a writing workshop by Sarah White for those who are interested in writing a personal story or capturing family stories. The workshop is on Tuesday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m., at Belleville Public Library.
