The New Glarus Area EMS is hosting a Patriot Day Blood Drive on Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 8:00 a.m.-Noon, at the New Glarus Area EMS Building, 401 3rd Street.

<strong>Registration is due by Noon on Monday, September 9th</strong>, to participate in the Monticello Community Wide Garage Sales September 12th-14th. The cost is only $5.00 and includes a sign for your yard along with advertising in local newspapers and inclusion on the categorized spreadsheet which will be available at businesses in Monticello.

With back to school right around the corner, Monticello Pony Prep staff puts the finishing touches on this year's summer school. Monticello Schools look to continue their #ponyproud ways heading into the 2019-2020 school year. They have so much to be proud of. Return to the farm with Jerry Apps as he reminisces about the simple things that made up everyday life on the farm. The Belleville Public Library is pleased to sponsor Jerry’s talk on Thursday, September 12, at 7:00 p.m., at the Belleville High School Auditorium at 635 W. Church Street.
Jerry Apps will share his memories of these simple things - an old cedar fencepost, Fanny the farm dog, the trusty tools used for farm work - and look for the deeper meanings of these objects and the values instilled in him during his rural Wisconsin boyhood in the 1940’s and 1950’s.
