Francois Ford Holds Open House and Ribbon Cutting

Francois Ford celebrated the Grand Opening of their new 21,000 square foot car dealership on Friday, September 23, at 222 County Highway PB in Belleville. To better serve their customers, the Francois Family built a new dealership and repair facility with a drive in service write-up, new car delivery bay and a large showroom. The celebration included an Open House and an official ribbon cutting by the Francois Family, along with the Belleville Chamber of Commerce. Keller, Inc. was the design/build general contractor.

Oktoberfest in New Glarus

New Glarus Oktoberfest will be held on September 23-25. A weekend full of music as well as many activities and events in downtown New Glarus is planned.
In the festival tent there will be live music from Friday evening at through Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
On Saturday, September 24, the Glenda K. Scott 5K/10K Run and 2-Mile Walk will be held, beginning at the Valle Tell Soccer Park and heading out of town on Valley View Rd. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., with the Run beginning at 9:00 a.m. sharp.

Cheese Days in Monroe

Cheese Days, held last weekend in Monroe, has been a very popular festival since its beginning in 1914. The festival is held every other year, and draws thousands to Monroe.
Many volunteers and organizations took part in and enjoyed the 2016 Cheese Days Parade.

New Glarus Youth Baseball Raffle

The New Glarus Youth Baseball Association will be raffling off a John Deere Tractor and over $1,000.00 in Stihl items on Sunday, September 25, at 8:00 p.m., at Tofflers Pub and Grill, 200 5th Avenue, New Glarus. 
Additionally, Tofflers will be donating a portion of sales to youth baseball.  Come out for some fun and the Homerun Burger special.  See you there.

Wildcats Have Winning Week

The Wildcats won all three matches against the Marshall Cardinals in an away game on Tuesday, September 13th. The final scores were 25-22; 27-25; 25-14.
Krista Diaz had six kills for Belleville. Grace Schulting had four kills and seven digs. Rachael Heittola finished with four blocks, while Lucy Grady had three kills. Grady also had two aces and five assists. Sydney Gentilli had eight digs and two aces. Allison Kowalski had three aces five assists and Samantha Trainor ended the match with eight assists.

New Glarus Volleyball Still Struggling

On September 13th, New Glarus Volleyball lost to Cambridge in three matches, 23-25; 13-25; 18-25. Devon Boll, McKinley Righter and Willow Lee all had four kills, and Julia Barnaby had three. Boll and Lee also had 12 digs each. Righter also had two blocks. Riley Parker ended the day with 11 assists and two aces. Madison Parker had an astounding 28 digs, and also had two aces.

Baraboo hosted the Sugar River soccer team on Saturday, September 10th, and were dealt a loss. Sugar River won, 4-1.

Knights Tame Wildcats

The friendly rivalry between the New Glarus/Monticello and Belleville football teams has existed for decades. In the most recent game between the two, Belleville hosted New Glarus/Monticello last Friday night. The Knights won the game, 42-7.
