The New Glarus Area EMS would like to thank the Community Foundation for the grant to purchase two large GPS units for our ambulances.  They have been very helpful getting us to addresses across the district with the best response time possible.

Whitetails Unlimited Banquet Scheduled

Whitetails Unlimited is sponsoring the South Central Wisconsin Banquet on Friday, November 4th, at Peppercorn Banquets, 1417 Mansion Drive, Monroe. This special event will feature a two-meat buffet, auction, and prizes with a wide array of products such as firearms, outfitter packages, hunting and outdoor-related equipment, artwork, and collectibles only available at WTU events. A grant from this event will go toward projects that uphold WTU’s mission.

9th Annual New Glarus Family Festival

The 9th Annual New Glarus Family Festival, sponsored by Grace Church, was held on Sunday, September 11, 2016. The festival featured many family friendly activities, as well as music, food and a car show. All activities and food were free. See more photos in the photo gallery on this website.

Belleville High School 2016 Homecoming Parade Information

The annual Belleville Homecoming parade will be held on Friday, September 30. Parade line-up will begin at 2:15 p.m., with the parade rolling down Main Street at 2:30 p.m. 
Groups interested in having a float or vehicle in the parade need to complete an application form to participate. The application form can be picked up at the Belleville High School Main Office. Completed applications should be returned back to the High School office no later than Monday, September 19th.

Herb Kohl Surprises Wisconsin Teachers By Funding All Classroom Requests For Entire State On Donorschoose

As thousands of Wisconsin classrooms kicked off the school year, Herb Kohl Philanthropies announced they are fully funding the classroom requests of every Wisconsin teacher posted on the education crowdfunding site DonorsChoose.org. As a result of Herb Kohl’s generosity, approximately 600 Wisconsin teachers will receive materials for their 43,000 students — ranging from health and hygiene items to paper, pencils and books to laptops, musical instruments and microscopes.

Corrected! Advance Tickets Available for the Green County Fall Nationals

Advance tickets are now available for the 10th Anniversary Green County Fall National Truck and Tractor pull, which will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016. The event will be held at the Green County Fairgrounds with nine classes of trucks and tractors participating from Wisconsin and surrounding states. The pull, sponsored for the ninth year by Washington Implement of Monticello, will begin at 12:00 noon. Back by popular demand, Madison County will take the stage at 8:00 p.m. They are sponsored by Colony Brands, Stone Mill Construction and the Monroe Lions Club.

Green Bay Versus NGM

Aaron Rodgers produces statistics galore: Attempts, Completions, Percentage of Completions, Total Passing Yards, Average Passing Yards per Game, Touchdowns and the number of times he’s seen with Olivia Munn.  One Green Bay Packer game generates reams of numbers, all in an attempt to determine the quality of the team and of each individual player.  A sport exists, however, that produces just a few digits and those numerals tell you everything you need to know.  Look at the results from the New Glarus-Monticello Cross Country team after Saturday’s race at Spring Green.

Monticello Volleyball is 3-0 in Conference Action

Monticello Volleyball has had a really good season so far.
The Lady Ponies played Pecatonica last Tuesday, winning four, and Albany last thursday in three games.

New Glarus Volleyball Has Busy Week

The New Glarus volleyball team hosted the Marshall Cardinals on Tuesday, September 6th. New Glarus lost all three matches, 25-18; 25-15; 25-20.
Devon Boll led the Knights with six kills, while teammate Willow Lee had five. Boll also had two aces and three digs. Riley Parker racked up 11 assists.
On September 8th, the team traveled to Wisconsin Heights to play the Vanguards. The Knights lost the first two matches, 11-25 and 12-25, won the third match 25-23, but lost the fourth, 8-25.
