Mary K. Stampfli, of rural Bancroft, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at home under care of family and Heartland Hospice, following a six-year battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI, with Rev. Sara Rabe officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.
Visitation preceded the funeral service from 12:00 noon until the time of services on Sunday at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.

Carolyn Bunnell, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at AgraceHospice Care, Inc., Fitchburg, surrounded by family and friends. Carolyn was born on November 13, 1928, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Alma (Hendrickson) Olson.

Last week, the Belleville Police Department and Belleville Police Association celebrated National Police Week with a number of activities.
Belleville Elementary and Belleville Intermediate Schools had a penny war. The kids raised $368.89, which was donated to the Belleville Mounted Patrol. It will be used for the care and training for the Police Horses. The winning grade was the 1st grade. Their prize was to paint the Police Horses, Captain and Monty, and feed them carrots.

The journey through grief is difficult. Many people find it comforting to face grief with others experiencing similar challenges.
Monroe Clinic Hospice is holding a six-week Hope Eternal After Loss (HEAL) grief education and support group, which provides resources and encouragement for people grieving the death of a loved one.
The six-week HEAL group meets Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m., June 1 through July 6, at the St. Camillus Center, 2101 6th Street, in Monroe.
