On May 14th, the Belleville softball team played against Johnson Creek, winning 14-8.
Coach Connie Wunschel had to wonder, “Is it spring yet? It was snowing during our games!”

On May 17th, the Wildcats baseball team traveled to New Glarus and easily won, 14-1. Belleville recorded their third win of the season by smashing out 15 hits while plating 14 base runners.
Belleville started by scoring a run in the second inning, and three in the fourth. New Glarus scored their one run in the fourth. The Wildcats then scored twice in the fifth, three times in the sixth and five times in the fifth to wrap it up.
Derek Baumgartner pitched for the Wildcats, striking out four players and giving up only three hits and walking three.

What goes with Polkas and Beer, Bacon & Cheese? Books, of course! The Swiss United Church of Christ El Salvador mission group is hosting a book sale during Polkafest and Beer, Bacon & Cheese on Saturday, June 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We will have over 17 Wisconsin authors selling over 50 different titles. The books are both fiction and non-fiction, for adults and children as well. To make it easier for you, many authors accept credit cards Come talk with the authors, have them sign your books, and listen to your favorite polka tune.

Kinderchor rehearsals begin on Monday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m., at the New Glarus Home Campus. We meet outside under the shelter, near the Multi-purpose room and Chapel. Enrollment fee is $15.00 per member. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to participate. Sign up at rehearsal.
New Glarus Kinderchor participates in the local festivals. This year we’re excited to sing at Heidi Fest, Volksfest, and Wilhelm Tell Festival, as well as Cheese Days in Monroe. Mini performances will take place at Tofflers again this year.
