Klassy Piloting Drone Around Town

Dear Editor,
Hi, I’m a commercial photographer from New Glarus and I will be experimenting with a remotely piloted vehicle (RPV), otherwise known as a drone. Over the next few weeks I will be attempting to photograph New Glarus landmarks from the air.
A drone is an excellent tool for providing a new perspective on how our world looks. With my nephew as my assistant, I hope to make some beautiful images of New Glarus that can be used for a variety of purposes, including marketing the community and a historical record.

The Belleville and New Glarus Police Departments will be out with other law enforcement agencies throughout Wisconsin and the rest of the nation for the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown on drunken drivers from August 20 to September 6, which includes the Labor Day weekend.
Drunken driving is entirely preventable. If we can deter people from getting behind the wheel when they’re not sober, we will make progress toward the goal of reaching zero preventable traffic deaths in Wisconsin.
