Green County Healthy Community Coalition Presents ^Family Fun Triathlon^" With New Community Health Endowment Fund"

Join the Family Fun Triathlon, hosted by the Green County Healthy Community Coalition and the Green County Community Health Endowment Fund! The event will take place Saturday, August 17, starting at 9:00 a.m., with yoga on the north side of the square, followed by a walk from the square to Twining Park, and will finish with WERQ Dance Fitness. Afterwards, stay and enjoy the wonderful Main Street Monroe Farmers Market. There is no pre-registration required, when you arrive, simply check in at the tent with balloons on 10th Street.

Green County's 4-H Recognition and Graduation Ceremony

On Sunday, July 21st, Green County 4-H held its Recognition and Graduation Ceremony at the Green County Fair. This year's awards included the Friend of 4-H Award, 4-H Volunteer of the Year Award, 4-H Lifetime Volunteer Award, 4-H Key Award, 4-H Adult Leaders Scholarship Winners, 4-H Junior Leaders Scholarship Winner, Cindi Miller Memorial Scholarship Winners, and 4-H Graduates.

Colonel (Dr.) Matthew Talarczyk Retires from United States Air Force After 25 Years of Service

Colonel (Dr.) Matthew Talarczyk, son of Karen Talarczyk and the late Richard Talarczyk, recently retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service. His last assignment was at Wright-Patterson Medical Center, where he was the Chief of Surgery and Commander of the 88th Surgical Operations Squadron, 88th Air Base Wing (AFMC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

No-Till Field Day Planned For August 7th at Truttmann Dairy LLC

The second annual Summer Field Day, organized by the Farmers of the Sugar River, will be held at Truttmann Dairy LLC, located at N9682 County J, Blanchardville, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Farmers and interested public are encouraged to attend. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., attendees will take a tour to see corn and soybean fields that were planted green and compost windrows. Fields of interest will include corn was planted into standing rye and soybeans that were planted into standing triticale.

New Glarus Bible Church Hosting 5-Day Club

New Glarus Bible Church will be hosting a 5-Day Club for youth ages 5-12 on July 29th – August 2nd, from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. 5-Day Club is an exciting, fun-filled club that meets for 90 minutes every day for five days. It includes Bible lessons, learning activities, missionary stories and fun songs. Children will be taught respect for authority, moral values, character qualities and biblical principles.

Blood Donations Help Local Man Who Has Incurable Disease - Secondary Myelofibrosis

Every two seconds, someone in the US is in the need of blood. Blood donations are not only used for trauma patients and surgeries, they are also necessary for cancer patients, obstetrics, and patients with blood disorders. Many people want to give back to the community but may not have a lot of time to volunteer. In only about an hour, volunteer blood donors can help save lives and feel instant gratification.

Homecoming Thank Yous 2019

I hope all who attended the 31st anniversary of the Annual Variety Show enjoyed it as much as I did. Once again, we had great acts. Thank you to all of the entertainers. Also, thank you to Harvey Kubly for being the emcee since we started and to Carolyn Hilliard for playing piano, Tammy and Danny Wirth for allowing us to use the great venue of T&D’s, and Danny Klitzke for being our sound man for almost 25 years. Thank you also to the many who attended, we need you to make this a successful and fun filled evening.
