New Glarus Utilities is inviting children ages 4-12 to participate in the Thank-A-Lineworker Kids Coloring Contest in celebration of National Lineworker Appreciation Day on April 18, 2019. Those who enter have a chance to win a Visa gift card for showing off their artistic abilities. Deadline for entry is April 26, 2019.

The Monticello Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to welcome Little Ponies Childcare LLC, with owner Heidi Harris. Little Ponies is a licensed daycare and is located in the cafeteria of the Monticello Schools. The daycare provides before and after school care. Hours are 6:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. before school, and 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. after school, Monday through Friday. The daycare also provides half-day, full-day and offers daycare over breaks. The Green County Master Gardeners will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, April 25th, at 6:30 p.m., at the Three Waters Reserve, located at N3941 Golf Course Road, Brodhead, WI. Meetings usually provide speakers or tours for learning and are open to the public to attend.

Boy Scout Troop 101 is washing spuds and chopping onions for their annual fundraiser on Monday, April 15th, at the Moose Lodge from 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. They are serving up a Baked Potato or Taco dinner, featuring toppings of your choice and homemade dessert. While there, be sure and check out the awesome Silent Auction. Items this year include an autographed Packers football, Brewers and Snappers tickets, autographed Bears photo, jump tickets to Madhouse Trampoline Park and much, much, more.
