Free Invasive Species Workshop

The Town of New Glarus Parks Commission has rescheduled their free Invasive Species Workshop for Sunday, April 7, 2019, from 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m., at Bailey’s Run Winery, N8523 Klitzke Road, New Glarus. The original workshop, scheduled for February 23rd, was cancelled due to inclement weather. There will be presentations from three speakers who are experienced conservationists, presenting on invasive species, their effect on the environment, and methods for controlling their impact on native species.

Heidi Folk Festival Culver's Night

No Fooling, Monday, April 1st, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., is the time to stop by the New Glarus Culver’s to help raise money for the Heidi Folk Festival. Culver’s will donate 10% of their sales between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., that day.
Come and enjoy a great dinner on April 1st, say “Hi” to several of the Heidi Play cast members, volunteers and the New Glarus Dairy Queen. You can even purchase bulk ice cream or gift cards for future use to help raise funds. We appreciate your support very much.

Village Forestry Efforts Underway As Spring Draws Near

The Village of New Glarus Arbor Day tree planting event is scheduled for May 2, 2019. This annual event brings together adult and teen volunteers to plant trees in the public terraces and parks throughout the community. This year marks the twenty-third year of our community tree planting event, and an average of 47 new trees have been planted each year.

Monticello's Track & Field Takes Team Traditional Fundraising ^To the Mats!^"

The most unique fundraising concept to come along in a very long while is quickly gaining popularity across the country. National organization, Custom Fundraising Solutions, creator of “The Mattress Fundraiser”, has given back over $40 million dollars to schools across the country. On Sunday, March 31st, the Monticello High School is taking traditional fundraising to the “mats” by hosting their own Mattress Fundraiser to raise money for the Track & Field Team.

Monticello Easter Egg Hunt

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Monticello Village Park on Saturday, April 20, 2019, beginning at 10:30 a.m. sharp. Don’t be late, or you’ll miss it!!
The youngest age group is 0-2 years and the oldest age group is fourth grade. The Easter Bunny will be present to greet the children and will also be available for photos.

This year’s celebration will bring all generations together to learn about Alzheimer’s Disease, currently the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
