Belleville Middle School Students of the Month

On Friday, March 1st, Belleville Middle School core teachers, along with their Agriculture, German, and Spanish teachers, recognized Students of the Month for February. The ceremony was held in the auditorium at lunch. Students received a certificate and Catty Shack (school store) buck. Nominees then had the opportunity to put their handprints up in the Middle School Commons. Congratulations to these Wildcats!

Belleville High School Students of the Month

On Friday, March 8th, Belleville High School staff recognized Students of the Month for February. Each department nominated a student, with the teachers preparing a personalized certificate for the students on why they stood out among their peers in the last month. Teachers noted that students this month had improved grades, showed leadership, or consistently demonstrated the ^Wildcat Way.^" Students were treated to a Tano's pizza lunch and received movie passes courtesy of Marcus Theaters. Congratulations on this recognition!"

Gerneen A. Zurkirchen, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. She was born at home in the Town of Rutland on May 24, 1936, the daughter of Harry and Arlene (Best) West.

New Glarus Community Blood Drive to be Held at New Glarus Brewery

Many people want to give back to the community but may not have a lot of time to volunteer. In only about an hour, volunteer blood donors can help save lives and feel instant gratification.
The community is invited to give back and help save lives by donating blood on Thursday, March 14, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at New Glarus Brewing Company, 2400 State Highway 69, New Glarus.

Coffee With a Cop

Join a deputy from the Green County Sheriff’s Office and for coffee (or ice cream!) and a conversation on Thursday, March 21, 2019, from 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Swirl Station, located at W5485 County Road DR, Monroe. Wisconsin State Patrol will also be there.
There will be no agendas or speeches, just an opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know law enforcement personnel in your area. Kids are welcome to join in the conversation.
