On Tuesday, October 10th, the Monticello Ponies volleyball team played at Juda, and lost, 3-1.
For their last regular season match, on October 12th, the Ponies hosted Pecatonica. The Ponies won the match, 3-2.
“We finished the regular season on a very positive note, everyone had a great night!” said Coach Scott Smice. “We honored our only senior player, Alaya Hummel, who has been a positive influence to all the underclassmen and a great leader both on the court and off. Thank you! Bailey Farber, a Manager was also honored.”

The New Glarus Jr. FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) will sponsor a Halloween Fun Day from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the New Glarus Middle School in the Multi-Purpose Room.
A variety of games in a carnival atmosphere will be played. Games cost between one and two tickets, and tickets may be purchased for 25 cents each.
A costume contest will be held at 6:00 p.m. There are three age divisions for the contest, preschool, K-2 and 3-6.

New Glarus home delivered meal volunteers are needed for up to one hour delivering meals to homebound individuals on Thursdays.

Belleville’s schools, businesses, and Village Administration invites the community to take a visible stand against drugs by celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 23-31. Red Ribbon Week raises awareness of drug use and the problems related to drugs facing our community. “Red Ribbon Week encourages our entire community to adopt healthy, drug-free lifestyles,” said Teresa Pelton, Co-Chair of the Belleville Area Cares Coalition. “The campaign brings together parents, schools, and businesses as we look for innovative ways to keep kids and communities drug free.”
