It's Time for the Road Rally

Belleville’s Road Rally 2017 is happening this weekend, Saturday, October 21st. We hope to be there just prior to 8:00 a.m., as we want as much daylight for you as you can get. We hope to see lots of you there. We are prepared for 40 cars, full to brim with eager and smart people! Our team has been hard at it!! I have been typing on a faulty keyboard. It has been driving me crazy!! It skips every other letter; I am typing along and it looks like it is in a foreign language. It’s so aggravating!! I think Roger is looking for a new one but we have most all typed, and printing will happen once the test run is complete.
We started the Labor Day weekend and maybe even the weekend prior to that because both Barbs were gone for about a week in October. It was very handy that vacation was scheduled for the same time! We took a few meanderings around, trying to decide if we wanted to do this or that and then maybe we didn’t like that road, it wasn’t interesting enough, not much to look at, etc. Are you kidding???? People have more stuff in their yards, on their streets, in their windows than we can even use! Don’t get me wrong, we love those zealous decorators!!! Just today, we realized that we had been driving by these very unique, unusual blankety blanks, and we never saw them until today. You can’t imagine how many trips we make and we all missed it? Another year, I said to Barb, and she said we aren’t coming back here for a long time!! I know that we will love them the year we choose to come back.
We are meeting you in the parking lot behind the old Francois Sales store on Main Street, at the corner of Frederick. We need you to line up in there but we will be sending you out like we did last year. Barb will do car one, I shall send out car two, and that means that we will be coming from both rows to get you on the road earlier. Hopefully our early girl, Connie, will be there directing you and getting you sign in and collecting your very reasonable fee for a full day of fun and exploration of the area and bonding with your friends and family! We so look forward to seeing you all. We do hope you have been spreading the word, as I know it is a very busy weekend coming up and lots of you probably have plans but we sure hope that lots of you are spending it with us!!! It’s a once a year event, takes lots of time and dedication to pull it all together. We have a team helping us, riders, writers, and then testers who we have all sworn to secrecy! We know you all know to have a full tank of gas, probably some provisions in the car, but we do have some stops along the way that you can wet your whistle and grab a quick bite. Don’t forget to bring reference material, and the plug for that thing in case you run out of power!!!
We shall be ready and eager to greet you. You be there ready to dish out the odometer reading and a cell phone number or two in case you are missing and we need to check on you. Our cells are listed on one of the sheets. Until Saturday…………
