The Raiders have a five game winning streak, which includes wins against two teams ranked in the top five in the state poll. In the past two weeks the Raiders have outscored their opponents 13 to 0, while securing five shutouts.

On April 25th, the Monticello baseball team traveled to Barneveld and lost, 0-9.
Billy Spahr struck out two players and gave up two hits and four runs. Logan Marty gave up two runs. Travis McCoy gave up four hits and three runs during his time at pitcher.
Zach Price was the leading hitter and went 2-3.
The team headed to Black Hawk on April 26th and won the game, 14-10.
Trent Siegenthaler pitched for the Ponies. He struck out seven.
Logan Marty was 2-4 at bat, with one RBI. Billy Spahr went 1-3, with two RBIs and three runs.

Belleville’s Spring Clean Up Day is set for Wednesday, May 18th. This is the time to place items that do not fit in your trash cart at the curb to dispose of them (see list of acceptable items below).

The most important word is increase. Without it, everything would end.
The Village of Monticello had planning sessions. The need for a senior center came up. Without it, the seniors and Veterans do not matter, it tells the world. Well, the likelihood of senior housing will never come to Monticello, or any larger amount. When the Legion home and senior community center was sold, it divided the people.
