On Thursday, January 17, 2019, Chiefs of Police throughout the State of Wisconsin gathered at the State Capitol in regards to Legislative Advocacy Day. There was an opportunity to meet with Governor Evers, Attorney General Kaul, State Senators, and State Representatives. Topics included stricter OWI laws, constitutional rights for victims of crime, benefits for the families of Officer killed in the line of duty, fixing the State's mental health system, Body Worn Cameras, legislation which assist Officers dealing with (PTSI) Post Traumatic Stress Injury, and much more.
