Take Back Your Life With Healthy Living With Diabetes

Did you know that the average individual has diabetes 7-10 years before they are diagnosed? And one of every 12 Americans is affected by diabetes. In Wisconsin alone, there are 475,000 adults with diabetes and 1.45 million adults with pre-diabetes.
For individuals who have type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes or care for an individual with diabetes, good medical care is just half of the equation. Just as important is their ability to make healthy decisions, learn about and take care of their condition.

Forget about Halloween…with Labor Day behind us, it is time to start talking about holiday shopping.
How is that even possible? Layaway.
Many businesses offer layaway programs to give shoppers a chance to lock down the season’s hottest gifts without needing to pay in full upfront, and at least one major retailer has already launched its holiday layaway program. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) asks shoppers to study up on a store’s respective policies before agreeing to a layaway plan.

Belleville Hosts Cross Country Meet

It was a warm day for our Belleville Home meet. The heat and humidity played a role in the results for many athletes. We also had a slight course change, due to construction at the High School. The runners no longer ran the length of the fencing along the west side of the track and instead crossed Hayden Drive close to the highway. We'll welcome feedback on how the runners felt about this. Maybe we'll keep the changes, maybe not. I'd also like to thank Bob Blasdel and Steve Vogler for the many hours they put in to mark and flag our course! We appreciate you!
