What Abby Breseman initially envisioned as a store selling stylish mid-century modern items has grown into that and much, much more. Alpenhaus Market, which opened its doors in the location of a former hair salon at 618 Railroad Street in New Glarus earlier this year, is a blend of its owner’s unique aesthetic sensibilities and those of 24 vendors who offer items at the store.
It was initially a modest idea – a small booth in an antique mall - that has grown into something more.
The key, according to Breseman, the formula for success is fairly simple: “I found a bunch of really cool people with really cool stuff.”
