Marilyn Rose Gruenberg, age 70 of New Glarus, passed away at home on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was born on October 22, 1952, the daughter of Paul and June (Thoman) Gruenberg.
She attended grade school in Juda, later graduating from Monroe High School in 1970.

Tis' The Season

Christkindli Market was held in New Glarus last weekend. This outdoor Christmas market hosted approximately 30 vendors, offering a variety of high quality, locally made and sourced gifts, along with Christmas decorations and foods, all housed in wooden on-street chalets.
New Glarus Brewing Company offered Wassail, a one-weekend-only holiday stout with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and spice, with a sweet finish. It was so popular that it ran out on Saturday. Deb Carey, Founder and President of the New Glarus Brewing Company, has said there will be more next year.

Providing Food for Those in Immediate Need

To aid in the shortening of the wait time for patients needing access to food, SSM Health Monroe Hospital and SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group created an onsite food closet.
When patients in primary care, pediatrics or behavioral health identify as not having food during screening questions during appointments, they are given a slip to redeem for an immediate need food bag.

Santa Claus to Visit Monticello, Kids Can Shop at Santa's Workshop for Their Families

Santa Claus is coming to town!! Santa will make his annual pre-Christmas visit to Monticello on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Monticello Fire Station. While Santa greets the children there and hears their wishes for Christmas, his elves are working hard to set up a special shop for the children to buy gifts for their family members. The Workshop will be open from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m., for kids to shop before or after seeing Santa. Santa's Workshop can't happen without your help.
