Senate Candidate Sarah Godlewski Visits New Glarus

Last week, WI State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski visited the New Glarus area, as part of her Senate Campaign. While in the area, Godlewski visited a local dairy farm and spoke with business people and others who had questions or wanted to discuss topics of interest.
Earlier this year she announced her campaign in the Democratic primary for the 2022 United States Senate election in Wisconsin. She is hoping to win the seat currently held by Ron Johnson.

Heidi Festival, Blues, Brews and Food Trucks this Weekend in New Glarus

On Saturday, June 25th, the Blues, Brews and Food Truck Festival will be held at Village Park in New Glarus from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The festival kicks off the evening of Friday, June 24th, with Birddog Blues Band performing at Tofflers Pub & Grill at 8:00 p.m. Saturday's music in Village Park begins with Jay Stulo at Noon, followed by The Chris O'Leary Band at 2:00 p.m. The Jimmys will play at 4:00 p.m., and the Cash Box Kings will perform at 6:00 p.m. New Glarus Fest Haus hosts the Saturday night after-party, featuring Jay Stulo at 8:00 p.m.

Community Conversations: Tough Talks

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin will be hosting a monthly virtual presentation/discussion tackling topics to help learn how to work on many tasks that include legal issues, financial issues, health issues, mental health issues and emotional issues; sometimes all of those at once.
Living with a disability, living in an aging body, living with mental health struggles: all require Tough Talks. Tough Talks are not easy, but they are necessary.

Raider Track Wraps up Season

On Tuesday, June 7th, the Sugar River Raiders Track and Field Program came together one last time to wrap up their season. There were team records broken, Invitationals won, and many personal bests set this year. With 83 athletes finishing out the season the program is in good hands, despite saying goodbye to eight fantastic seniors.

Bombers Teams Take Second Place at Tournaments Over Memorial Day Weekend

The Bombers 12U team took 2nd place at the Dodgeville Diamond Memorial Day Tournament. Sugar River Bombers Softball 12U played four great games in Dodgeville, WI.
Saturday they went 2-0, playing the Queen of Diamonds Monroe, and then another game vs Dodgeville DC 12U team. Sunday they played Middleton Red 12U; winning 9-3 and then played the Championship game vs Waunakee Road Warriors and lost 6-7 to take 2nd place in the 12U tournament.
The Bombers 10U team took 2nd place at the 2022 Premiere Girls Fastpitch Memorial Day Madness Tournament in Elkhorn, WI.

Krafty Kids to be Held on Tuesday Afternoons

Krafty Kids will be running every Tuesday, June 21st to August 9th, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., at the Village Park gazebo in New Glarus.
Crafts will be available for the first 15 kids. There is no cost to participate. Intended for school-age children.
