Congratulations to the Belleville Middle School Students-of-the-Month for November. Their teachers recognized them in a Homeroom ceremony on November 18th. The students received a certificate, a Catty Shack buck, and put their handprints up on the walls of the Middle School Commons.
Members of the Belleville Economic Development Committee (EDC) have started work on the 2017 Belleville Community Guide. This will represent the fourth Community Guide that has been put together for Belleville and the surrounding community. The group is working hard to get the 2017 Community Guide finished earlier in the year and our goal is to have it ready for distribution by March 1, 2017!
In November, the Madison Jazz Society awarded grants totaling $5,150 from its School Grant Fund to music programs in thirteen Wisconsin schools. The grants are funding jazz centered programs designed to help students learn about and perform jazz.
Way to go to all 24 Belleville Science Olympians who traveled to compete in Boyceville on December 3rd!
The brand new JV team earned three medals and the 2nd year Varsity team earned 11 medals. The Varsity team placed 2nd out of 29 in the small school division and 10th overall out of 60 teams. All 24 students represented their school and community well.
The Belleville Community Club is holding their annual Holiday Decoration Contest this year, with judging to take place on December 18, 2016. The entry form is available on the Belleville Community Club Facebook page.

Belleville Second Grade Brownie Troop #1531 and fourth grade Webelos Cub Scouts sang Christmas Carols to the residents at Heartsong and Hometown Assisted Living in Belleville on Saturday, December 10th.
Roland J. Sies, age 80, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on December 5, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital. Roland was born on September 11, 1936, to Norman and Clarice (Rickey) Sies.
Donald P. Mussehl, age 84 of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at his home. He was born on January 24, 1932, at Platteville, WI, to his parents, Stanley and Helen (Dickson) Mussehl.
The Green County Senior Nutrition Program has again had the honor of working with the Green County 4-H Clubs to provide Blizzard Boxes to all home-bound seniors receiving a home-delivered meal this winter. Blizzard Boxes are full of shelf-stable foods that can be kept in case of emergency or inclement weather when home-delivered meals are unavailable.
