Santa Coming to Monticello

Santa Claus is coming to town!!  Santa will make his annual pre-Christmas visit to Monticello on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the Monticello Fire Station. While Santa greets the children there and hears their wishes for Christmas, his elves are working hard to set up a special shop for the children to buy gifts for their family members.  Santa’s Workshop increases in popularity each year, and this year looks to be every bit as exciting and well-attended, but it can’t happen without your help.  Santa’s Workshop will be open from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
As always, Santa’s elves look to the local community for donations of small gift items that the children can “buy” for their parents and siblings and grandparents.  If you have any new or like-new items to donate, please feel free to drop them off at either church (Washington UCC or Zwingli UCC) or during the week at Tri-Insure at 145 N Main Street, Monticello.  For special arrangements or pickup, please call Julie Ruegsegger at (608) 558-2397 or Kathleen Grossen at (608) 558-1588. 
Santa’s lead elves are retiring from the workshop after this year’s event, so we need a few people or a group to step up to the sleigh and learn the ropes this year to be ready to take charge next year!  If nobody steps up, any items remaining after this year’s event will be donated to other elf helpers to make sure the wonderful items are put into hands of those on the nice list.  Please call Julie or Kathleen with any questions or interest.  Thanks so much for your support!
