Monticello M.S. FCCLA Celebrates a Successful Year

The members of the Monticello Middle School FCCLA chapter gathered on May 18th at Pizza Hut, to celebrate their accomplishments for the year. Each member was awarded with their membership certificate. The officer team of Miah Brokopp, President; Sarah Blumer, Vice-President; Mackenzie Errthum, Secretary; and Alyssa Holcomb, Reporter, received a FCCLA tumbler in appreciation for their efforts this year. Next year's officers, Alyssa Holcomb and Mackenzie Errthum, received their officer pins. They will be serving as Co-Presidents. Members who completed the FCCLA STEP 1 quiz to learn the basics of FCCLA were awarded their STEP 1 pin. They include Addison DiCristina, Lily Lounsbury, Macey Freitag, Katelyn Eyler, Logan Blum, Evan Rufer, Sarah Brokopp and Hannah Clark.
Simon Blohowiak, Peter Gustafson, Mackenzie Errthum, Alyssa Holcomb and Sarah Blumer received bronze and silver STAR Events pins to represent competing at the regional and state level. In addition, Simon, Peter and Sarah received gold pins for qualifying for national competition. Seth Culberson was named the top fundraiser, with Trinity Walters, Miah Brokopp, Sarah Blumer, Sarah Brokopp and Catrina Emberson also recognized for their fundraising efforts. Sarah Blumer was recognized for her service as a regional representative.
The Outstanding Member of the Year award was presented to Sarah Blumer and Simon Blohowiak, for going above and beyond the expectations of a FCCLA member.
