Sugar River Raider Youth Wrestling

The Sugar River Raider youth wrestlers have already started to take to the mats with a couple of tournaments. On November 15, Eli Leonard traveled to Cascade, Iowa, to the Cougar Invitational and came home with a 1st place medal and 3 pins!  Teams from Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin were in attendance.  Way to go Eli.
On Sunday, November 22, four boys traveled to the state-line border to visit Wilmot High School for their Turkey Tumble Invitational.  Several Illinois teams were in attendance as well as tough wrestling from the Kenosha area! Here are the results with placing/wins/losses/pins:  Cayson Helwig-3rd, 1-2-1; Eli Leonard-1st, 3-0-3; Trei Udelhoven-2nd, 2-1-1; Aiden Hatleberg-3rd, 1-2-0.
Tough wrestling all day and way to go Youth Raiders!!  Pretty exciting season ahead as first week of practice under our belt and almost 50 kids attending!  Wow. Enjoy Thanksgiving with your families!
