Swimmers Compete at McFarland

The Monroe-New Glarus swim team competed at a dual against McFarland on October 11th. The varsity team came in second place to McFarland, 79-90, and the JV team also placed second, 17-41.
Varsity Results
In the 200Y Medley Relay, the team of Amelia Geib, Maggie Piper, Piper Faber and Amalia Morrison finished 2nd with a time of 2:07.84, while the team of Kristina Foley, Brinlee Chapman, Danika Doll and Alexis Elgin finished 4th with a time of 2:26.51.
Megan Chapman won the 200Y Free, with a time of 2:04.14, while Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 2:10.95, and Piper Faber finished 4th with a time of 2:17.78.
Anna Zentner won the 200Y IM, with a time of 2:24.33. Placing 2nd was Amelia Geib with a time of 2:26.53.
Riley Hoesly won the 50Y Free, with a time of 26.85, while Amalia Morrison placed 5th with a time of 29.41 and Kristina Foley finished 6th with a time of 30.35.
Delaney Lynch won the 100Y Fly, with a time of 1:05.34, while Riley Hoesly finished 2nd with a time of 1:07.46.
In the 100Y Free, Danika Doll placed 4th with a time of 1:03.95, while Amalia Morrison finished 5th with a time of 1:07.88 and Kristina Foley finished 6th with a time of 1:08.43.
Megan Chapman won the 500Y Free, with a time of 5:31.38, while Piper Faber finished 4th with a time of 6:09.06.
The team of Riley Hoesly, Anna Zentner, Megan Chapman and Delaney Lynch won the 200Y Free Relay with a time of 1:47.12, while the team of Danika Doll, Amalia Morrison, Alexis Elgin and Maggie Piper finished 4th with a time of 2:00.69.
In the 100Y Back, Amelia Geib finished 2nd with a time of 1:05.96, while Anna Zentner finished 5th with a time of 1:10.07.
In the 100Y Breast, Maggie Piper finished 2nd with a time of 1:23.03, while Danika Doll finished 5th with a time of 1:27.40 and Brinlee Chapman finished 6th with a time of 1:35.94.
The 400Y Free Relay team of Delaney Lynch, Riley Hoesly, Megan Chapman and Anna Zentner won the event with a time of 3:54.97, while the team of Piper Faber, Kristina Foley, Amelia Geib and Maggie Piper finished 4th with a time of 4:21.27.
The swim team competed at a meet in Baraboo on October 18th. They will swim at an invitational at UW-Platteville on October 22nd, and then compete at a conference meet at Baraboo on October 29th.
