Belleville Cross Country Teams Compete in Mazomanie

The Wildcats had our conference meet on Saturday at Lions Park in Mazomanie, hosted by Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld.
The distance was short, so the times reflect a distance of 2.9 miles. The kids did a great job and should be proud of their races.
Leading the girls Varsity race was Alora Spiegel, who was recognized for her 9th place finish and 2nd Team All-Conference in the Capitol South, with a time of 19:47. She was followed by Lainey Winkers (21:08), Alice Elliott (24:25), Emily Gomez (25:01), Ruby Gustafson (26:25), Maddie Miller (28:23) and Annika Esselstrom (31:36). The girls placed 4th in the Cap South Conference. Allison Dyrhaug ran for our JV and finished with a time of 26:56.
The Varsity boys team was led by Carter Scholey, who took first place overall with a time of 15:16. He was followed by Angelo Dohm, who placed 9th for 2nd Team All-Conference, with a time of 17:36. Jackson Scholey was also named 2nd Team All-Conference, placing 12th with a time of 18:04. Following Jackson was Niles Monroe (18:24), Aiden Campbell (18:37), Blake Johnson (19:11) and William Booth (19:40). The boys place 2nd in the Cap South Conference.
Junior Varsity boys were led by Adrian Jenkins, who finished in 2nd place in Capitol South with a time of 19:44. He was followed by William Gobel (21:25), Christopher Weber (21:44), Shepard Nass (22:37), Ben Remy (22:57), Keegan Dohm (30:34), and Dallas Ziegler (31:10). The boys placed 1st for JV Cap South.
Well done to ALL the Wildcats! On to our State Qualifier Sectional Meet next Saturday in Albany! Keep up the good work!!!
