Swimmers Compete in McFarland and Sauk Prairie

The Monroe/New Glarus girls swim team competed against McFarland on October 12th.
In the 200 SC Meter Medley Relay, the team of Morgan Erstad, Karley Michels, Mazie Paradis and Delaney Lynch placed 2nd with a time of 2:12.81. Coming in at 4th place was the team of Samantha Schiro, Elsa Schaefer, Keeley Mulligan and Kristina Foley with a time of 2:26.55.
In the 200 SC Meter Freestyle, Karley Michels came in 4th with a time of 2:40.37, while Taylor Rufer finished 5th with a time of 2:42.66 and Samantha Schiro finished 6th with a time of 2:44.08.
Mazie Paradis won the 200 SC Meter IM, with a time of 2:30.73. Morgan Erstad placed 2nd with a time of 2:40.83 and Peyton Yaun finished 4th with a time of 2:52.70.
In the 50 SC Meter Freestyle, Riley Hoesly placed 2nd with a time of 29.98, while Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 30.42 and Danika Doll finished 5th with a time of 33.38.
Mazie Paradis won the 100 SC Meter Butterfly, with a time of 1:07.31, while Samantha Schiro finished 4th with a time of 1:21.41 and Elsa Schaefer finished 5th with a time of 1:24.81.
In the 100 SC Meter Freestyle, Riley Hoesly finished 3rd with a time of 1:06.93, while Danika Doll finished 5th with a time of 1:15.67 and Kristina Foley finished 6th with a time of 1:15.81.
In the 400 SC Meter Freestyle, Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 5:13.50.
The 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay team of Keeley Mulligan, Karley Michels, Danika Doll and Riley Hoesly placed 3rd in the event, with a time of 2:09.08, while 4th place was won by the team of Peyton Yaun, Alyvia Schulz, Emma Tran and Kristina Foley with a time of 2:24.67.
In the 100 SC Meter Backstroke, Morgan Erstad finished 3rd with a time of 1:14.00, while Taylor Rufer finished 5th with a time of 1:22.41.
Karley Michels won the 100 SC Meter Breaststroke with a time of 1:23.64. Peyton Yaun placed 3rd with a time of 1:26.87 in the event and Elsa Schaefer finished 4th with a time of 1:27.18.
In the 400 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, the team of Mazie Paradis, Morgan Erstad, Delaney Lynch and Riley Hoesly finished 2nd with a time of 4:24.20. Finishing 4th was the team of Danika Doll, Samantha Schiro, Taylor Rufer and Peyton Yaun, with a time of 5:01.27.
On October 14th, the Cheesemakers swam at Sauk Prairie. The Varsity placed 2nd with 71 points with Sauk Prairie winning with 99 points.
“The girls have had a long week with a meet on Tuesday night vs. McFarland and an invitational meet Saturday at Fort, but they swam hard and enjoyed Sauk’s new pool!” said Coach Haley Kaiser.
In the 200Y Medley Relay, the team of Morgan Erstad, Mazie Paradis, Delaney Lynch and Riley Hoesly won, with a time of 2:00.36, while the team of Taylor Rufer, Karley Michels, Keeley Mulligan and Emma Tran finished 4th with a time of 2:17.82.
In the 200Y Freestyle, Samantha Schiro finished 3rd with a time of 2:24.47, while Kristina Foley finished 4th with a time of 2:26.56 and Elsa Schaefer finished 5th with a time of 2:26.77.
Mazie Paradis won the 200Y IM with a time of 2:13.75. Finishing 4th was Morgan Erstad with a time of 2:24.71 and Keeley Mulligan finished 5th with a time of 2:35.80.
In the 50Y Freestyle, Delaney Lynch finished 2nd with a time of 26.87, while Karley Michels finished 5th with a time of 28.66 and Danika Doll finished 6th with a time of 29.73.
In the 100Y Butterfly, Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 1:09.68 while Samantha Schiro finished 4th with a time of 1:11.71 and Keeley Mulligan finished 6th with a time of 1:14.49.
In the 100Y Freestyle, Riley Hoesly finished 2nd with a time of 58.77, while Kristina Foley finished 4th with a time of 1:08.72 and Elsa Schaefer finished 5th with a time of 1:09.74.
In the 500Y Freestyle, Danika Doll finished 3rd with a time of 6:32.28 with Taylor Rufer right behind her in 4th place with a time of 6:40.68.
The team of Keeley Mulligan, Karley Michels, Samantha Schiro and Danika Doll finished 3rd in the 200Y Freestyle Relay, with a time of 1:56.89.
In the 100Y Backstroke, Riley Hoesly finished 2nd with a time of 1:07.74 and Taylor Rufer finished 3rd with a time of 1:16.55.
Mazie Paradis won the 100Y Breaststroke with a time of 1:11.90, while Karley Michels finished 2nd with a time of 1:14.64 and Emma Tran finished 5th with a time of 1:25.97.
In the 400Y Freestyle Relay, the team of Mazie Paradis, Morgan Erstad, Delaney Lynch and Riley Hoesly placed 2nd with a time of 3:55.87, while the team of Taylor Rufer, Danika Doll, Kristina Foley and Samantha Schiro finished 3rd with a time of 4:31.36.
On October 19th, the Cheesemakers hosted Baraboo at the Green County YMCA and will swim at an invitational at UW-Platteville on October 23rd.
