Sugar River Soccer Remains Undefeated in Conference Play

Sugar River hosted Lodi for a conference match on September 26th, winning 2-0.
“Very tough conference game,” commented Coach Kyle Webber. “Both teams played very hard.”
At the end of the first half, the score was tied 0-0.
At the open of the second half, Sugar River’s Jack Gentilli played a great corner towards the backside of the goal and Jaden Kreklow scored. Sugar River’s second goal came ten minutes later and was scored by Charlie Douma, scoring his first of the season, assisted by Justin Knoebl.
Tyler Boeck recorded six saves for the game.
On September 28th, the team traveled to Columbus, shutting out the home team, 10-0.
Opening up the scoring one minute into the first half was Brock Kelly, assisted by Jack Gentilli. Ten minutes later Jaden Kreklow, assisted by Connor DeLorme, scored a goal and three minutes after that, Jared Widish, assisted by Jack Gentilli, scored a goal. The team closed the half out by scoring two more goals. Brock Kelly scored an unassisted goal at minute 24 and two minutes later, Jared Widish, assisted by Charlie Douma, scored their fifth goal. The score at halftime was 5-0 in favor of Sugar River.
Brock Kelly, assisted by Jack Gentilli, scored just a few minutes into the second half. Less than ten minutes later, Justin Knoebl scored a goal and five minutes after that, Jack Gentilli, assisted by Brock Kelly, scored a goal. One minute after that goal, Jaden Kreklow, assisted by Connor DeLorme made the score 9-0. Scoring the final goal two minutes after that one was Jack Gentilli, assisted by Connor DeLorme.
Tyler Boeck had two saves.
With this win, Sugar River improves to a 6-0-0 conference record.
The team hosted Lake Mills on October 3rd and will host Wisconsin Heights on October 5th at 6:45 p.m.
