The Plumbers traveled to Harley Blue hoping to pick up their first win of the half. Chris Booth, Tony (The Cellar Dweller) Hoffman, Jerome Krantz and Tiny (Ron) Zander all bent 112 pieces of copper, but the Express had a straight run at the station to reach a top speed of 410, winning this one by 7. The Mounties, the other team looking for their first win of the half, played perfect host to the Hay Shakers, allowing all four Kleeman couples to pull more than 100 needles from the hay stack. It was Al Zimmerman and Steve Sponem finding the most needles with 114 to their credit. Jim Day and Dan Meinholtz (Mounties) attempted to bale up the Hay Shakers with 112 feet of baling wire, but the Hay Shakers stacked up a 30-point win.
The first place Norsk Pranksters pulled a fast one on the S’Wisco Taphaus Cheese Eaters with their 41-point trap. The flavor of the day for the Cheese Eaters was apparently Swiss cheese as they drilled plenty of holes in their wheel of cheese. Ed Wettach and Bryan Buesser bored the biggest hole with a final score of 80, this week’s low score.
The week’s high score, 115 points, was grabbed by Gordie Miller and Mark Raders as the J&M Bar River Rats spooked the Norsk Cowboy’s right out of their saddles to easily win this one by 29.
