To take sole position of first place and to remain undefeated, the Starlight Express extracted 67 psi from the network of pipes laid by the Pipe Benders. Engineers Tracy Haag and Opie Taylor managed to buildup 113 psi in their boiler, while fellow engineers Steve Hoffmaster and Charlie Steinhauer reached 117 psi (this week’s high score). The Red Mouse Mounties also improved their standings by removing 33 bales from the Hay Shakers’ (Kleeman’s) haymow. Mounties Jim Day and Leo Humphrey were able to load 110 bales in their wagon.
With a score of 114 points, Larry Losenegger and Jordy Schmitz played a vital role in the Pranksters 67-point win over the J&M Bar River Rats. Whereas, River Rats Kasey Bodemann and Tracy Funseth found it very difficult to climb the slippery river banks and stashed just 70 points in the Rats warehouse. However, they did secure this week’s low score.
Finding themselves down by 14 after two frames, the Red Mouse Shufflers found their footing and came back to deal the Walk-On Trolls a 44-point loss. Goblins Larry Kluesner and Pat Baier were able to pull in 110 points for the Trolls. But that just wasn’t enough, with all four Shuffler couples scoring in excess of 100 points, with Steve Vogt and Shane Kahl collecting 111 points for the Shufflers.
After traveling uphill to the home of the Norsk Cowboys, several Cheese Eater (Sportsman’s Bar & Grill) players are wishing they hadn’t traveled. Giff Hoesly will be receiving his second skunk card of the season this week. His partner, John Blum, playing for the first time this season, will also receive one. The skunk came at the hands of Randy Schmid and Harold Schlimgen in the third frame. Randy and Harold were also responsible for rounding up 112 of the Cowboy’s 418 points. Don Field and Marvin Thompson added another 110 points to steer the Cowboys to a 56-point win.
