Serious Accident Injures Two

On Saturday, September 23, Green County Deputies, New Glarus Area EMS, New Glarus Fire Department, New Glarus Police Department, Belleville Fire Department, Belleville Police Department and two UW MedFlight helicopters responded to a motorcycle accident on CTH W, east of the Village of New Glarus.
Leon B. Brown, 50, Milton, was eastbound when he lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a curve. The motorcycle collided with an embankment and ejected the occupants. Brown was not wearing a helmet but did have on eye protection.  Brown sustained injuries in the crash and was flown by MedFlight to UW Hospital.  Leon's passenger, Bobbie S. Brown, 49, Milton, was not wearing a helmet but did have on eye protection. She also sustained injuries in the crash and was flown by MedFlight to UW Hospital.  Leon Brown was cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana (25 grams or less).
