Belleville High School Student Aidan Perry (Class of 2025) has received commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program.  Perry’s High Selection Index Score placed Aidan among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2025 National Merit Program by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT).

Senior Aidan Perry is one of 34,000 students nationwide to receive this commendation and has “shown exceptional academic promise”, according to the National Merit Scholarship Program.  He is delighted to have received this honor for outstanding performance on the PSAT in 2023.

Like his peers at Belleville High School, Aidan Perry is busily preparing for his future goals.  He notes, “I’m currently working on my college applications, so I was thrilled to see that I won an award from the PSAT I took in 2023; this should be very helpful for me in the coming months.”

Aidan was excited to receive the signed certificate from his High School Principal Kyle Loshaw for this academic accomplishment.

Belleville HS/MS Principal Loshaw says, “Aidan is an extremely gifted and hard working student.  This is a well-deserved recognition.  I am very excited to see what Aidan does in his future as he is going to be a great representation of what Belleville is all about!”

Aidan Perry is grateful for the academic support he has received at Belleville High School.  Perry hopes to explore mathematics as a major field in college, and feels that his high school math teacher Mr. Michael Cryderman, HS/MS Principal Loshaw and HS Guidance Counselor Stephanie Way have all helped pave the way for him to excel in mathematics.  Currently, Perry is taking Honors Calculus (Math 375:  Topics in Multi-Variable Calculus and Linear Algebra) at UW-Madison as a special high school student.  It is an opportunity for him to dip his toe in mathematics on a college level to see what he might enjoy for the next four years of his academic career.
