JonnyO’s Pizzeria Named to 2024 WASB Business Honor Roll

The School District of Belleville recently recognized JonnyO’s Pizzeria for its support of the District’s schools.
The company was honored as part of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards’ 2024 Business Honor Roll program. The program recognizes local school district partners that support their local schools by providing resources or additional learning opportunities for students and staff.
“JonnyO’s Pizzeria is a strong supporter of the School District of Belleville,” acknowledged District Administrator Jim Schmitt. “Over the past few years the addition of their Wildcat Donation Pizza has been a phenomenal gift of support to our Belleville learning community, with monthly donations coming to our schools. I am impressed each time I talk with the owner, Jon Sunderlage. He is very grateful for our schools and wants to give back in meaningful ways.”
Athletic Director Zack Nelson says, “JonnyO’s Pizzeria is a constant in the Belleville School District and Community. We appreciate the support from JonnyO’s as one of our sponsors in our advertising program.”
JonnyO’s recently delivered a donation of $1,226 to the School District of Belleville for 594 Wildcat pizzas (topped with sausage and pepperoni), sold from September 2023 through August 2024. For every Wildcat pizza sold JonnyO’s donates $2, and raises that to $4 on the first Wednesday of each month.
According to the owner, Jon Sunderlage, “I want to be an active part of the community and show support to the schools. I was very engaged as a student in Monticello’s schools, especially with sports: cross country, wrestling - which partnered with Belleville - and track. I like community involvement and want to bring people together as much as possible. Schools are a great place to do that. The staff at the schools also believe in ‘shop local, support local.’ We are able to provide discounts, sponsorships, and donations because of their support of our business.”
