Save the Date for New Glarus Gift of Community Events

The 2016 Gift of Community Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 20, at Edelweiss Country Club. What would our community be without our valuable volunteers? This event recognizes and honors the countless volunteers who do so much to make New Glarus the exciting community it is. The event includes a Silent Auction, Volunteer Recognition and a “Roast” of the Volunteer of the Year!
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for socializing and bidding on Silent Auction items. Items are donated by individuals and businesses. Following dinner, the nominated volunteers are recognized for their efforts. The suspense is building for the announcement of the Volunteer of the Year.
There is also a Student Asset Award event. This will be held at New Glarus High School on Monday, February 22, at 12:45 p.m. This year’s guest speaker is Nick Zweifel.
<strong>Nominations are always welcome, in fact, NEEDED! Nomination forms can be found at www.giftofcommunity.com or at the local banks and New Glarus High School. All proceeds from the Silent Auction go to the New Glarus Community Foundation.</strong>
Be thinking about what you can donate for the Silent Auction. Services, art items and sports memorabilia are always a hit.
