Safe Ride Program for Oktoberfest

Once again the New Glarus Police Department and the New Glarus Chamber of Commerce will be providing safe rides home during the Oktoberfest weekend on Friday and Saturday nights.
This program is sponsored by Green Cab of Madison and Mosher and Associates in New Glarus. The Safe Ride Program will be operating between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., from the Oktoberfest grounds.
They will provide a free ride to anybody going within a nine-mile radius of the downtown area. The cab service will be parked at the area of 6th Avenue and 1st Street, or the south end of the festival grounds.
The Safe Ride Program has been provided over the last six years and has provided approximately 500 people safe rides home from the festival grounds.
