Age: 61
Occupation: Owner/Manager The Maids
Years lived in Village: 28
Incumbent: No
Have you been on the village board or held any other public office before? If so, please describe: No
Why are you running for village board? I want to encourage two way communication between the village board and the citizens of New Glarus, allowing for exchange of ideas and concerns. Also I want to see New Glarus be a place to exemplify for both small and large businesses. To encourage continued growth and focus for support and success of the schools, Fire Department, EMS, Police Department and all of the entities of New Glarus.
What issues do you find most important to the village board? List your top three priorities: Financial Responsibility: that tax payer funds are being used wisely and appropriately. Communication: a Two fold, two way respectful conversation of ideas and concerns of the village to the citizens, especially when change will affect a particular group of people. Citizens to the village deserve an opportunity to share concerns and ideas and feel they have been heard. To Encourage a climate of success for the business and entrepreneurial sector of New Glarus.
If you could reverse one village action, what would that be? The decision making process of major changes or building projects that affect a large group of people with out adequate input from those people. Research proposed changes to village adequately and assessing the impact of those to the citizens.
Any additional comments? I believe in accountability of those elected to those who elect them.
