New Glarus Receives Awards at Wisconsin Department Convention

At the American Legion Department Convention in Appleton, WI, New Glarus was awarded the National American Legion Post Excellent Award. Stuessy-Kuenzi New Glarus Post #141 received the National American Legion Post Excellence Award for their activities in the four pillars of service. These pillars of service include Veteran Assistance and Rehabilitation, National Defense, Children and Youth, and Community Service. This is the seventh consecutive year that the post has won this award. The award was presented by State Commander Dan Seehafer to Post Commander Steven Hodgson.
Also at the same Convention, State Commander Dan Seehafer presented the Department's Emergency Medical Technician of the Year Award to Rachel Anderson of the New Glarus Area Emergency Medical Service. Rachel is an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and serves as the Training Officer for the New Glarus Emergency Medical Service.
