Last weekend, New Glarus celebrated its 175th Anniversary, one year late due to the pandemic. The celebration included events in the Village Park, the Lions Club Annual Chicken BBQ, visitors, including WI Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes and Bruno Ryff, Consul General of Switzerland in Chicago. On Saturday there was the parade, (along with an airplane pulling a 'Happy Birthday' banner and the annual New Glarus Fire Department's Firefest.
