Jessica Tidd Memorial FCCLA  Scholarship Winner

The Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Jessica Tidd Memorial Scholarship is awarding one individual this year. Jessica Tidd was the daughter of Elementary Guidance Counselor Sonja Tidd.  At the time of Jessica's death, she was working diligently with her Family Consumer Sciences teacher at Verona trying to establish an active FCCLA chapter. Jessica had dreams of becoming an FCCLA State Officer. New Glarus students applying for this scholarship wrote a paragraph explaining their involvement helping and/or working with children and the importance of wearing seat belts. Students also held at least four years of membership. Fundraising opportunities-including the Jessica Tidd Memorial Fundraiser have made these scholarships possible to these students!
The New Glarus High School FCCLA Chapter presented Olivia Woodmansee with the Jessica Tidd FCCLA Scholarship, in the amount of $300.00. Olivia was very involved with FCCLA as she had put her time into volunteering at a wide array of FCCLA sponsored events. Olivia had served as a Wisconsin FCCLA State Officer for two years. Her senior year she led Wisconsin FCCLA by holding the 2016-2017 State President position. Olivia was a true leader and continues to excel in her future. On behalf of the New Glarus FCCLA we wish you congratulations Olivia as you continue to have a successful future!
