The 18th Annual Empty Stocking Benefit is scheduled to be held on the Wittenwyler Farm, W4514 Wittenwyler Road, Monticello, on Saturday, October 1st – rain or shine.
The fun begins at 12:00 Noon, with the annual trap shoot. Train rides will take place from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., a suggested donation of $2.00 will get you train rides all day. Mark Updike and his crew are back to put on the hog roast that will start serving at 6:00 p.m. and will continue until all are served – remember to bring a dish to pass! This year’s live entertainment will be music by Sheriff and the Outlaw who will be playing from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. The Pie Contest is back, starting at 8:00 p.m. Frank Distributors is once again donating the adult beverages while Ray Updike from Minhas Brewery is going to be taking care of the Blumer’s Root Beer. There will also be a 50/50 Raffle held.
The price for all of this fun? The suggested minimum donation per person is $10.00. All proceeds from the benefit go to the Empty Stocking, which provides new, warm clothing for children in need in the Monticello area. Everyone is invited to attend.
