Thirteen University of Wisconsin-Platteville senior art students have prepared the Senior Art Student Exhibition, a gallery exhibition of the finest works they produced in art classes. The exhibit will be on display in the Harry and Laura Nohr Gallery Monday, April 13-Friday, May 15. An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Tuesday, April 14, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free; all are welcome.
The show, a required course for all art majors, provides students with training in how to plan, edit, prepare and mount a gallery exhibition. The students planned the show and edited the work as a committee, with assistance from Steve Vance, professor of art at UW-Platteville, who is the instructor of the show and advisor for the graduating senior group. The students then completed all of the physical display work needed in preparing the event space and mounting the exhibition.
^I am pleased to say that the range and breadth of artworks that will be in the show is extensive
