Do you want to experience what life was like in the 19th century in New Glarus? Then join us at the Swiss Historical Village & Museum on Sunday, October 13, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for our annual Harvest Fest. We will have a variety of demonstrations including cheese making, quilting, blacksmithing, basket making, beekeeping, and sauerkraut making. In addition, all 14 of the buildings that comprise the Swiss Historical Village will be open and guides will share the unique history of New Glarus and 19th century immigration.
A special reduced admission of $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children will be charged during Harvest Fest. Many thanks to all the volunteers who make this annual event such a success.
Owned and operated by the non-profit New Glarus Historical Society, the Swiss Historical Village & Museum, located at 612 7th Avenue, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week, through October 15th. Please visit our website at www.swisshistoricalvillage.org.
