2015 Grants Awarded by New Glarus Community Fund and New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund

Since its first grant writing cycle in 1998, the New Glarus Community Fund and New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund has awarded more than $227,000 in grants to area organizations. At a recent reception at the New Glarus Hotel the following grants were awarded:
New Glarus Community Fund: New Glarus EMS – GPS Units; New Glarus Library – Hands-On Approach to Adult Programing; New Glarus Vision – Music in the Park; New Glarus Vision – Summer Books 4 Kids; Swiss Center of North America – Saengerfest 2015; School District of New Glarus – Wyalusing/Stonefield Village/Nelson Dewey Tour; New Glarus Vision – Krafty Kids (Art in the Park Youth Committee).
Dr. Fred W. & Alice J Kundert Charitable Fund: Friends of the Chalet of the Golden Fleece - Historic Building Preservation; New Glarus Vision – Music in the Park.
Anonymous II Fund: Swiss Center of North America – Fahnenschwingen; New Glarus Vision – Music in the Park.
New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund: School District of New Glarus: Elementary – Strawberry Pyramid for the School Garden; High School – Potency of Poetry Workshop; Middle School – Wyalusing/Bethel Horizons Outdoor Activities.
