Village of New Glarus Residential Clean-Up Day

Spring Clean-Up Day in the Village of New Glarus will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021. Accepted items include furniture, household trash, dry carpet (rolled and tied for one-person to handle), swing sets (dismantled), bagged box springs and mattresses, bed frames, gas grills (no tanks), charcoal grills, small lawn mowers or snow blowers (gas and oil must be removed).

Polkafest and Beer, Bacon & Cheese This Weekend

The Roger Bright Memorial Polkafest, one of the community's longest running festivals, will draw visitors to downtown New Glarus from Friday, June 11th through Saturday, June 12th. In addition to Polkafest, the 2021 Beer, Bacon & Cheese Festival will be held on Saturday, June 12th, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Polkafest hours are as follows: Friday, June 11th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 12th, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Mark Your Calendars - Homecoming is Back!

Monticello Homecoming is set for July 9 through July 11, 2021, so please put the dates on your calendar! The Monticello Community Club is in the planning phase, but so far it looks like we have almost a full slate for Homecoming. For the kids, the carnival will be here, the fireworks, the parade, and kiddy tractor pull. We have almost all the bands booked. Games confirmed are the softball weekend tournament, basketball, mud volleyball, canoe races, bean bag competition and tug of war. The PTO has the registration online for the Pony Trot.

Happy Birthday to Lee Stock's 1921 Model T

From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on June 12, 2021, at the old train depot, Lee Stock will host a birthday party for his 1921 Model T.
Lee will provide cupcakes, bottled water and sodas. Alcohol is not permitted. There will be a trash can on-site.
Lee plans to have only pre-war cars and cars older than 1942 in the parking lot at the depot for a group photo. There is plenty of parking off-site for newer cars.
At 12:45 p.m., we will enjoy cupcakes and drinks and then photos will be taken.

Belleville Village-Wide Community Clean Up

Village of Belleville residents have a unique opportunity to de-clutter or just join their neighbors to wrap-up Spring cleaning together. The next Community-Wide Clean-up will begin on Wednesday, June 23rd!
This is the time to place items that do not fit in you trash cart at the curb. The Village’s contracted waste and recycling hauler, Pellitteri Waste Systems, will dispose of items at no additional cost to residents.

Village of Belleville Comprehensive Plan Timeline

On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Matt Frater, MSA, will be at Village Hall for an open house. This will provide community members an opportunity to provide in person feedback if they wish.
On Monday, June 21, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., a public hearing will be held regarding the Comprehensive Plan to solicit further public input.
